Travel Information
The congress starts on the 18th of October 2010 and lasts until the 23rd of October 2010.
The first day with the Global Village and the Opening Ceremony is taking place in Vienna. Therefore, all delegates should choose Vienna as their place of arrival to Austria.
We warmly invite you to our Study Tour in Vienna, which is taking place from the 16th to the 17th of October. More information concerning the Study Tour can soon be found under the Study Tour section.
For travelling to Vienna we recommend the following means of transport:
By Plane:
There are six airports in Austria which are served by scheduled international flights:
Innsbruck
Klagenfurt
Linz
Salzburg
If you arrive in Graz, Salzburg, Linz, Innsbruck or Klagenfurt you will need to take the train to Vienna. You will find detailed Information here.
Another option is to take the plane to Bratislava, which is just a one-hour bus ride away from Vienna. There are very good bus connections, which can be found here and here.

By Train:
Travelling by train through Europe and especially through Austria is an amazing experience. Austria is located very centrally in Europe and is well-connected with the European rail-network. There are several direct connections to Vienna especially from the neighbor-countries as well as other international train connections including Euro-City-Trains and Night-Trains.
For travelling within Austria by train (e.g. from Salzburg to Vienna) please look at the homepage from the ÖBB.
If you want to connect it with your holidays, you may want to buy a special pass ticket and travel through different European countries. For detailed information please look up: Interrail, Eurail and Eurorailways. These tickets are available for different time periods and countries.

By Bus:
Austria is not a typical “bus-travel-country” and usually, travelling by train is cheaper and faster.
